With our sub-agent relationships; technical core competencies; and being among the first South Eastern Virginia Contract Institute (SEVA-CI) Level 5 Certified Firms in the United States became a co-facilitator for the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) of Hampton Road’s Southeastern Virginia Contracting Institute (SEVA CI).
The SEVA CI program is an innovative program whose sole objective is to assist proven and experienced regional small businesses, especially minority, woman, and disable veteran owned companies in competing and winning Federal, State and Municipal “prime” contracts. These companies learn to strengthen their business plans, increase their business development pipeline and sales program while improving the marketing of their company’s capability materials, all of which lead to submitting compliant and winning proposal responses that generate revenue from agency contracting Quick Quotes, Invitation for Bids (IFBs) and RFPs. To date, one-hundred twenty-five (125) companies 58% Minority, 67% WOSB, and 28% SDVOSB – have enrolled, become members, and completed the program. Two-hundred fifty-four (254) bids have been submitted resulting in 247 wins as prime contractors across Municipal, State and Federal procurement bids, an unprecedented 97% win rate totaling $35.7 million dollars in new small business revenue, created or saved 95 jobs, and created six (6) new 8a companies over the last 32 months.
Due to limited federal and local funds, this program was offered only on the south side of Hampton Roads in the City of Virginia Beach and Chesapeake areas; as of May 2016, Federal and local funds have been exhausted, yet, there is proven demand with 125 small businesses already part of the SEVA CI consortium, and 84 small contracting companies placed on a waiting list for the next Hamptons Roads SEVA CI 2017 program to be launched in this region.
To date, Timitron Corporation has been awarded several SEVA-CI Services contracts from More LTD , which has varied in scope and complexity, each completed successfully with customer satisfaction. SEVA-CI is a registered and copyright product developed by More LTD. More LTD and the SBDC has selected and certified Timitron Corporation to facilitate the program.
